Saw an article in the news
About a retired ex-Navy SEAL
Sort of shocking in a way
But, sadly, it is real
 
He was a manly SEAL
Served his country near and far
Received over 50 medals
Including a Bronze Star
 
Chris Beck was his name
I say this with no mirth
He had distress for many years
About his gender assigned at birth
 
So like he had so many times
He started a new mission
With the support of VA doctors 
He began his gender transition 
 
Chris is now Kristin 
Has been for about ten years
Now she has realized
The worst of all her fears
 
She said she made a mistake
It’s time for another mission
She is making the trip back
By gender de-transition 
 
Fortunately, the trip is shorter
Than it otherwise might be
She didn’t change her plumbing
And can still stand up to pee

Thinking about downsizing   We’re getting to that point   Where we don’t need all this room Maybe it’s time to leave this joint   Forty-five hundred square feet Of which we live in less than half What will we do with all our stuff?
